About the Workshop:
The Sustainability Across the Curriculum Workshop is an initiative by Georgia State University’s Senate Sustainability Commitee and the Sustainability Initiatives Office to integrate sustainability across various academic disciplines.
This two-day workshop will provide Georgia State faculty members with tools and strategies to incorporate sustainability topics into their curriculum, regardless of the discipline. It will cover approaches such as embedding case studies, project-based learning, simulations, and experiential learning activities, as well as developing effective assessments to enhance student engagement and foster critical thinking on environmental, economic, and social responsibilities. A particular focus will be placed on engaging faculty from underrepresented disciplines to promote equitable access to sustainability education. Faculty from any GSU campus are invited and encouraged to attend.
Participants will benefit from the expertise and support of GSU’s Sustainability Initiatives Office, as well as from Industry Practitioners & Experts with approaches and practical resources to implement sustainability-focused teaching.
